Denver maternity photographer

Recently I did a maternity session that wasn't my usual. The usual being either portraits outside or portraits in-studio with lights and backdrops all set up. I wanted to bring something different this time, something I could easily recreate in someone's home. This session consisted of my living room, a drop cloth, a piece of fabric I wrapped up this pretty lady in, a flower wreath I made,  and a window. We also had two toddlers running around us (we both have 2 year olds only a couple months apart). I was also close to having my own new little addition at 8 months pregnant! Sometimes simpler is just better. I think she shows this here. :)

Denver Family Photograper: LIttle Ladies

This mini session was so much fun! I am in love with the colors they wore, the flowers, how gorgeous they are! It was getting dark real fast so we did do a lot of light chasing, but in the end it worked out great I think! Love these girls. :)

Denver Family Photographer: Family mini session

So I had to share another mini session. :) We only had about 10 minutes but this family was so much fun! I hope my own two boys can entertain me as much as these two did!

Denver Child Photographer: Big Sis!

Among my recent mini session I had a very cute little girl who is about to be a very cute big sister! She seemed so proud abut it, which was just beyond adorable.

Denver child photographer: Bohemian summer mini

Another favorite mini session from a couple of weeks ago. I loved her dress (a family gift), and the  light that seemed to hit just right, even if we did suffer some mosquito bites for it!

Denver child photograper: Summer minis

The end of the summer, I love it. I love enjoying the warm days while knowing they won't drag on for months. I did some quick mini sessions recently and loved using the natural sunlight and overgrown grass as my tools. I sometimes feel that these quick 20 minutes of shooting time are ideal in summer because we get what we want from the shoot without getting sweaty and exhausted by the time they're done. Granted, being 7 months pregnant and outside for over 2 hours is no small feat for me, but I know when I get home I get to do one of the things I love most: go through these beautiful children and family photos!

This little girl was my first up, and she delivered! Lots of expressions and lots of personality. Here's a few of my favorites.

Summer Fashion on a Budget

I used to think you had to have a good amount of expendable income to have a put-together outfit. Guess what? You don't! Here's a great July outfit that doesn't empty your wallet. Plenty left over for gelato and a movie.

To the Moms

Here is my little compilation of my favorite mom photos I've had the honor of photographing over a bit of time. I don't often get to photograph moms, something I'm quite sad about. They want photos of their babies, and want to often leave themselves out altogether. I hope this is a little proof to you all how absolutely beautiful you are. Holding your little ones makes you look your very best, with that look of joy and love across that face. I hope to see many more moms this year put themselves in front of the camera. Your cherished babies will appreciate it so so much in the coming years!

Portrait sizing

Here's a good visual on what a certain size photograph will look on your wall.

Denver Newborn Photographer

Newborns, love 'em. I've said it before but man do I mean it! This little girl is especially cute and sweet. Look at those squishy cheeks! Look at that hair! Momma's going to have to watch out when she grows up.  :)

I didn't do this fancy or anything, but I wanted to put together a quick collage of my favorite photos of 2012. There were so many more but these were the ones I just loved. Thanks to all my wonderful friends and clients for making my love of photography, for capturing the once-in-a-lifetime moment, an amazing experience. I love each and every one of you. :)
